TOYOTA CANADA FOUNDATION DONATES $25,000 TO NIKKEI PLACE FOUNDATION

The Toyota Canada Foundation is donating $25,000 to Nikkei Place Foundation in Vancouver as a way to support volunteering and mentorship for those who will be future leaders in the nation and around the world. The money will go to Future Leaders - Volunteer and Mentorship Development, which is an initiative that supports the leaders of tomorrow by providing tools and support in volunteer and mentorship opportunities. Throughout the tri-cities communities West Coast Toyota has donated generously to educational programs and is proud to be part of a brand whose vision stretches beyond our local roots.

Nikkei Place Foundation educates, engages and develops future leaders from within the local community. The Toyota Canada Foundation chose to invest in the organization because of its own commitment to education initiatives. The organization wants to help develop the next generations in Canada, and is glad to help Nikkei Place Foundation as it focuses on the leaders of tomorrow.

The Nikkei Place Foundation is a charitable organization focused on the Japanese-Canadian community. Founded in 2002, the organization participates in fundraising and hosts numerous programs, events and activities throughout the year to raise awareness and funds for various services which impact all ages and cultural backgrounds.
